TY Talk held 7th Nov 2018. Robert Loughlin, a past pupil of PCH and currently living in Malawi the past 10 years, spoke to the TY’s about his experiences living in Malawi and his profession as country director for BuildOn. BuildOn is an NGO that builds schools in developing countries. I spoke about my recent trip to Malawi and the fundraising campaign we will be running in the school and also collaborating with other schools called “Let’s Make it Happen”, where are main goal is to raise approximately €11,000 to fund the build of a rural secondary school in Malawi. Joe Nyirenda, who is originally from Malawi, spoke about the conditions he grew up with and his indirect progression through the education system in Malawi.
