  1. The date of the Parents’ Council AGM is Monday 7th of October and the official start time of AGM is 8pm.

There will be a talk beforehand (organized by school) by Emmet Major which starts at 7pm. The talk is geared towards first year parents, but all parents are welcome. We anticipate the talk to take 30-40 mins, so there would be time for a break between the talk and the AGM and obviously we hope that parents attending the talk will stay for the AGM.

Information talk for parents regarding Planet Youth

Emmet Major (Drugs Task Force Community Liaison Worker) will be delivering a short presentation on Planet Youth. This is an exciting and innovative public health programme designed to improve the health and wellbeing of all of our children.  It is being piloted in all schools in County Galway between 2018 and 2022.  There will be some useful materials for all our first year parents and you can find out a bit more at www.planetyouth.ie

Even though the talk is aimed at first year parents, the talk is relevant and open to all parents.
