Last week we had our German exchange students here in PCH for the 3rd time! It was wonderful to see how students have made strong friendships once again. Students from the first and last years exchange joined in and it felt like something much bigger is blossoming between the two schools. Teachers and students from both schools know each other now and form a growing community of open minded people that show interest in each other across borders. Erasmus for me personally, is much bigger than the fun we all have. It is our contribution to make the world a bit more connected, a better place to live in by showing that differences are inspiring and similarities can be found everywhere. Our students have presented PCH impressively and are becoming proud, open minded and engaged European citizens.
It is not only a whole school event, involving many teachers and students in both countries, but really it is a whole community event, as parents and siblings and friends of the students and many others get involved one way or another.
Erasmus is really enriching lives wirh its generous funding.
Teachers from PCH have also gone to Italy, Hungary and Spain this year for teacher training and many will go soon. This is improving our teaching skills, knowledge and professionalism while also connecting us throughout Europe through the teachers we meet abroad!
And our next school years group is picked already , see photo, and the flights are booked for this privileged adventure PCH is able to offer, because our Erasmus + accreditation!
