PCH 2nd year boys faced St. Raphael’s of Loughrea in a nail-biting, tense league match. With a place in the semi-finals at stake, this game was played at a fast pace and with determination and grit from both sides. First quarter ended with PCH in the lead by 16 – 8 – baskets by Harry Donnelly, , Lukas Kilaukis and 6 baskets by Dylan Capone.
Loughrea edged their way closer in the next couple of quarters with only a point in the difference near the start of the 4th quarter. In a tense, fast paced final quarter PCH displayed speed, strength and team work to claim the victory by 2 baskets. More baskets scored by Conn Naughton, , Darragh McMahon, Dylan Capone, Michael O’Neill, Finn Foley and Eoin Kerrigan.
Final score 32 – 28.
A brilliant game that once again showed these lads’ determination, teamwork and hard work.
