Dear Parent/Guardian
I believe it is appropriate that the sole focus of this week’s email is COVID.
The response of Presentation College Headford to the COVID pandemic has been fantastic. PCH has remained a safe place throughout. I write in the hope that we continue to do everything we can to sustain this community response. Can I ask the following remains at the forefront of your thoughts –
- Know the symptoms of COVID. Speak to your son/daughter about the symptoms and ensure your child knows what they are (we will remind them also)
- Do not send your son/daughter to school if she has symptoms. Arrange a PCR test.
- Remind your son/daughter to adhere to the basics (we will also remind all students): facemasks, hand hygiene etc.
- Limit social contacts. Some may find this difficult as many social events and activities are taking place. However, the virus is rampant in the country and it is very important to be mindful of the number of contacts we have.
Our goal is to protect teaching and learning, our extra-curricular activities and all other associated benefits gained by presence and attendance in school.
Le gach dea-ghuí,
Fiona Gallagher
