Pictures of our 5th Year Chemistry students participating in a workshop called ‘Spectroscopy in a Suitcase” . It was delivered by Fiona Mc Ardle senior Lecturer from Life Sciences Department in IT Sligo and her assistant Brianca a Phd student in the college. The workshop was funded by The Royal Society of Chemistry and Science Foundation Ireland. Students used equipment often used in forensic labs to identify and analyse aspirin and also solved a crime scene scenario. Our thanks to Fiona and Brianca for delivering a very interesting workshop to our students.
