Congratulations to Mr. Gilmore and the seven Transition Year students who on Thursday 4th of May won the ‘ Capturing Galway’s Heritage Competition ‘. The theme of this year was the Galway Diaspora in which the students researched the memories and thoughts of eight individuals of Galway desent living abroad. Their project was exhibited in GMIT along with the other schools who took part in the competition. The beautiful sculpture piece awarded to our girls is of the Fisheries Tower located on Wolfe Tone bridge in Galway city. Well done girls!
