We had a very memorable and emotional afternoon on Tuesday, November 21st,2023. This is a momentous day in our school year as it is the feast day of our foundress, the Venerable Nano Nagle. This year was particularly poignant as we dedicated the Mass to our beloved colleague and teacher, Ms Cliona Kelly, and all deceased members of the PCH community. We were honoured to have the Kelly family join us for the Mass. Many of our past staff also joined us and after such a traumatic year in PCH, it was a cathartic event for so many. The choir and orchestra were fabulous as ever, under the baton of Ms. Ita Cunningham, ably assisted by Ms. Sinead St John. We are very grateful to the local clergy who led us in prayer; Fr Ray Flaherty, Vicar General Stephen Farragher, Fr Seán Cunningham, Fr Dixy Faber, Fr Vivian Loughery, Fr James O’Grady and Sr Mary Whyte of the Presentation Order.
It was just so special to come together with our distinguished guests, our beloved colleagues and our cherished students; taking time out of the hustle and bustle of life to pause and reflect on our mission here in PCH.
As Fr Ray said in his homily- where there is light, there is hope and the lantern of Nano NagLE is always lit here in PCH.
