2nd Year Boys Basketball
Our 2nd-year boys basketball team faced up to a strong Merlin college side in one of today’s semi-finals. It was always going to be a tough one and unfortunately this time, the victory went to Merlin.
The lads gave it their all in this match that tested our defences. Despite Merlin playing a tight zone defence, PCH scored 29 points. Daire Leyden scored one from a free throw, Lucas scored one, Jonathan McPhilbin scored a lovely 3 pointer and an outstanding performance today from Dylan Capone who scored 23 points including 2 three-pointers.
We missed Michael O’ Neill today and wish him a speedy recovery.
This is a great team that will now continue to train and improve on many aspects of basketball. Hopefully, a lot of the lads will start to join clubs and this will bring the team to another level.
