As Principal of Presentation College Headford, I am delighted to introduce you to our new school website and I invite you to browse around and experience a flavour of all the wonderful events taking place in our school and the outstanding rounded education being provided by our experienced, committed and dedicated staff.

Our curriculum is broad and varied and challenges the curiosity of our talented young students who thrive in such a welcoming and happy environment. Our students are successful because they know they are members of a school community where each individual is valued and supported, and where the curriculum offers every opportunity to advance, regardless of ability.

Ours is a CEIST school and we always strive to live out the vision of Nano Nagle, respectful and positive learning environment where every person matters and is listened to. We are committed to providing a Catholic education in the tradition of the Presentation Sisters who inspired our students for so many years and set standards which we continuously strive to achieve.

We are supported hugely in our work by our Board of Management, Parents’ Council and Students’ Council. We continue to work in partnership with our parents, our local community and the Department of Education so that no stone is left unturned in helping our students to be the best that they can be.

“As Principal of Presentation College, Headford this is a fantastic and exciting time for our school. Since our foundation in 1942 Presentation College Headford has been a forward-thinking community, which provides the very best environment and atmosphere to foster excellence inside and outside the classroom. Our school has an excellent team of teaching and support staff. It also has a sense of duty and care for each other and for our students that is unique and which strives to ensure the best education and social outcomes for the students in our care.

Here at Presentation College Headford through our academic and co-curricular programmes students are given the opportunity to acquire these skills. Students are encouraged to participate fully in all aspects of the life of the school so that they can develop their talents and skills. It also gives students an opportunity to develop their leadership potential whether through team sports and games, the student council or prefect and mentor system.

All aspects of students’ development are catered for in our school with the result that we have built a strong community where all students are cared for and are helped reach their full potential. Respect is a tangible aspect of our day-to day activities and interactions and we respect the uniqueness of each student, we are proud of our students and look forward to their positive contribution to the school.

Education is, of course a partnership, a joint venture between school and home. One of the many corner stones of a successful school is the relationship between students, staff, parents and the local community. We value all partners in this relationship and strive to build on the solid rock which has already been laid down.
